Money Well Spent … and $ utterly squandered [ALERT: 13Aug2011]

Money Well Spent

Are you tired of getting emails from a multitude of nebulous or anonymous organizations like or, constantly asking for money and leaving you with no idea how your money will be spent?  Well, if you’ve got $100 bucks to spare, here are TEANewYork’s top picks:

$25 — to become a Founding Member of the New York Constitution Lobby.  Created by Bob Schulz’s We the People Foundation, it intends to create a People’s Lobby, to counter all the special interest lobbies, providing Citizen Vigilance Centers with Constitutional Monitors and attorneys, to ensure government complies with the law, confined to the limits of the Constitution.  Info here:  and Membership info here:

Listen to Bob Schulz and I (Jul), on WLVL AM 1340 with Donna Pieszala, on Thursday, August 18th b/t 11 and 1pm, advocating for the Constitution Lobby.  Also, come to the Amherst Library Communuity Room on August 20th at 10:30am to hear Bob Schulz and learn more.  Info here.

$25 — for the George L. Wajackoyah campaign, Christian Conservative candidate for the Kenyan presidency, and a man who considers himself the first Tea Party foreigner ~!  Wouldn’t it be nice if we could be instrumental in helping to propel a conservative into office, who wants to bring free market principles to Kenya, Africa, vs. the usual rogue or otherwise unstable 3rd world dictator?  Info here, and give a gift here.

OR, if $25 is too much, please consider participating in the Campaign for Hope, and donating just one dollar to help fund Dr. Wajackoyah’s current trip back to Kenya from the U.S.

$25 — for the New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms, the only Christian lobbying organization in the New York State Legislature.  In existence since 1982, NYCF is a issues-oriented, political lobbying organization committed to voicing the pro-life and pro-family perspective to New York state elected officials. NYCF:

  • Monitors legislation
  • Influences the legislative process
  • Proposes positive legislation
  • Opposes negative legislation
  • Publishes voting records
  • Designs candidate questionnaires
  • Provides full-time lobbyists to represent the pro-family, pro-life perspective

Get the Freedoms’ Alert newspaper, published several times a year.  There is no charge for receiving this publication, but we recommend a minimum donation of $25.00 per year. If you would like to receive the Freedoms’ Alert, please call NYFRF at 585.225.2220 or sign up on-line.  To just donate, go here.

$25 — for TEANewYork, a Citizen and Political Action Organization dedicated to the principles of Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government and Free Markets — Oh right, YOU know all about TEANewYork!! God is good, and has enabled us to do the work we do with virtually no financial help.  But we do have web hosting and other expenses we could sure use some help with.  We would also like to become more of a formidable force, and it’s difficult to exert influence without money!  We haven’t received a dime towards our hope of creating a class-action lawsuit over the State’s illegal back-door borrowing, and we would like to begin producing ads to increase our exposure and grow our influence, so that we become a more effective force for change. Help here: TEANewYork PAC, or send to the address below.  A heartfelt thank you to Ernie, Carol, Laurie and Philip for help with our expenses…

EC Leg 2011

New Erie County Legislative
Districts, 2011

In 2010, 83% of residents in Erie County voted to reduce the Erie County Legislature from 15 to 11 members. When both the Democrat Majority and the Republican Minority produced unacceptable redistricting plans, the Democrats filed suit to delay the process til next year, and another to essentially overturn County Executive Chris Collins’ veto of the Democrat plan.”  Read the rest here.

The Termination of Williams
The Buffalo Board of Education met today to begin the process of terminating Buffalo Public Schools Superintendent James Williams.  Story here, and commentary here.

Bloomin’ Bloomberg
NEW YORK, August 11, 2011  – The mayor of New York City plans to force all public middle and high school students to participate an explicit sex education regimen, a mandate the Archdiocese of New York is calling on Catholic parents to fight.  Read it here:  New York to implement mandatory sex ed in all public middle schools, bishops encourage opt-out.

Why London is burning
“…some facts are so startling, and some effects so obvious, that even the most liberal newspaper of the British press, the Guardian, is now acknowledging that lack of family structure is creating a huge problem. On Wednesday, the paper interviewed a youth worker from Tottenham who has spent 30 years working with disadvantaged communities. He said that parental authority had now been eroded to the point where the parents of rioting children would be afraid to discipline them….There are 3.5 million children from broken homes in Britain. Their growing numbers, and the effect on of family breakdown on children, caused a leading family law court judge, Sir Paul Coleridge, to recently describe the scale of the problem as “social anarchy” and to urge the government to work to promote marriage.”  Read it here: Why London is Burning

Maybe someone should let the Status Cuomo know.

Obama in Denial
Following the ill-advised raising of the debt ceiling, “Obama appeared late [to a speech] without explanation, he discounted and ridiculed the S&P rating as irrelevant and he launched into plans to introduce massive new stimulus spending.”  Read it here: Barack Obama Sends Powerful and Well Planned Message to Uncertain Markets Validating Concerns By Mike Madigan

$106 trillion in debt is comparable to selling every home in the US — 5X over, or taking ALL the income of every American — 9X over.

Again, please consider helping those listed above, if you are able.  Just a dollar to the Wajackoyah Campaign would mean the world to me.
Thank you in advance —
..and don’t forget to keep our troops in prayer.

…hope we have as the anchor of the soul…
