The NYS Legislature cannot borrow money to finance their frivolous spending spree without our approval…so they borrow enormous sums of money through such unaccountable entities as the Thruway and Dormitory Authorities, who in turn hand it over to the State Legislature, and? You guessed it.  We foot the bill.

TEANewYork intends to sue the State over this illegal Back-door Borrowing.

Support Israel
Apparently CNN is pushing a poll showing that 60% vs. 40% of Americans favor “Palestine” over Israel in the war in Gaza.  We must stand together, respond with numbers and be heard.  Just click on the link, then click on the flag.

Exciting Politics?

We told you it would be an evening to remember.
Except for the candidates, our April 7th Candidate Forum was well attended.  Jack Davis ducked out the day of the event despite a prior verbal commitment, and Kathy Hochul sent a late message through the grapevine that she had prior engagements. Ian Murphy, the Green Party candidate showed up uninvited, in a tri-cornered hat and revolutionary garb no less, insisting that he is a Tea Party candidate, despite his extremely liberal leanings.  You might remember the guy who called Governor Walker of Wisconsin pretending to be a supporter to get him to say something memorably stupid?  Yup, Ian Murphy’s the guy.  TEANewYork membership voted NOT to allow him in the building, based on the following.  (Pardonnez-moi mon Français):

A Beastly Opinion
By Ian Murphy
“So, 4000 rubes are dead. Cry me the Tigris. Another 30,000 have been seriously wounded. Boo fucking hoo. They got what they asked for—and cool robotic limbs, too.”  Read more here:

Jane Corwin spoke, answered many hard questions with unfumbling prowess, and we proceeded to unanimously vote in her favor (except for one girl, who wrote in David Bellavia’s name~!).  As a result of receiving over 75% of the vote, TEANewYork formally endorsed Jane Corwin for the 26th Congressional seat.  If you would like to help out with her campaign, kicking off with a lit drop this Saturday morning, go here:  Jane Corwin Campaign Kickoff & Lit Drop.  We then heard a rousing speech by David Bellavia, former 26th CD candidate, and highly decorated Iraq War Vet.

The media did as media does and reported mostly on non-essentials, like Ian Murphy, and conflict with Tea Party people that support Jack Davis.  If you are wondering why, as some have asked, “Why can’t all of the different groups get together with a common purpose and goal?  This explains it all in a nutshell.

The Buffalo Snooze managed to find performing a background check with the IRS on six area Tea Party leaders more important than anything else.  The rabid dog Jerry Zremski did a hit piece on two opposing reformers, but like many things with nefarious intent, left many appalled at the privacy infringement and the oh so blatant effort to “take down” the opposition. It probably did more to “Unite the Clans” than any bit of truth and diplomacy many TNY members have attempted to extend in the past, and failed … our common enemy being Zremski and the Buffalo Snooze. Obamacare Propaganda
Judicial Watch has obtained documents from the Obama Administration detailing the agency’s massive taxpayer-funded multimedia campaign designed to promote the Affordable Health Care Act (also known as Obamacare) and other HHS policy initiatives. The total cost of the campaign, which targets Obama’s electoral coalition, could reach as much as $200 million.

$3,184,000 in taxpayer funds has already been spent to produce and air the advertisements on national television in September and October 2010. However, according to, a project of the University of Pennsylvania’s Annenberg Public Policy Center, the advertisements intentionally misinformed the American people.

“This Big Brother campaign is most certainly underhanded, potentially unlawful, and it must be stopped. If Congress is looking for a place to trim the deficit, this is a good place to start.” — according to Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. Story here.

Sharing Rights With Plant-life
UN document would give ‘Mother Earth’ same rights as humans (Bug, Animal & Plant Rights)
The bid aims to have the UN recognize the Earth as a living entity that humans have sought to “dominate and exploit” — to the point that the “well-being and existence of many beings” is now threatened.  The wording may yet evolve, but the general structure is meant to mirror Bolivia’s Law of the Rights of Mother Earth, which Bolivian President Evo Morales enacted in January.  Story here.

Faux Morality
Arnold Ahlert of Jewish World Review poses that Democrats are never pressed to explain why allowing America to go bankrupt is not only illogical, but indecent, and that though Republicans own the facts, the Dems own the narrative.  Read The Democrats & Immorality to understand why it is essential to own both.

Donald Trump Responds
April 8, 2011
To the Editor:
Re: “Donald Trump Gets Weirder,” by Gail Collins (column, April 2):

“Even before Gail Collins was with the New York Times, she has written nasty and derogatory articles about me.  Actually, I have great respect for Ms. Collins in that she has survived so long with so little talent. Her storytelling ability and word usage (coming from me, who has written many bestsellers), is not at a very high level. More importantly, her facts are wrong!….” Read more here.

Lost Generation
This is only a 1 minute, 44 second video and it is brilliant. Make sure you read as well as listen… forward and backward.  It’s a video that was submitted in a contest by a 20-year old. The contest was titled “u @ 50” by AARP. When they showed it, everyone in the room was awe-struck and broke into spontaneous applause. It’s a palindrome, which reads the same backwards as forward. Not only does it read the opposite, the meaning is the exact opposite.  So simple and yet so brilliant.  Click here:  Lost Generation.
