Assembly Democrats Lose Veto-Proof Majority!!
“This is HUGE! It doesn’t matter who is Governor, the veto proof majority was killing us taxpayers. Shelly Silver has had his way all too long, and at least this will take some power away, and his stranglehold on the Assembly. Cuomo should have demanded the Assembly elect a new Leader/Speaker if he was really for reform. I have a hard time believing that only 9 seats were won, what a sad state of affairs the Republican party is in. This was the year and they blew it. ” [Kirwan won by just 15 votes over incumbent Assemblyman Frank Skartados.]  Read the rest of this entry at AlbanysInsanity.com

David Bellavia to Run
David Bellavia, Iraq Vet, Silver and Bronze Star recipient, author of the book “House to House” about his experiences in the Battle of Fallujah, has thrown his hat into the ring to replace former Congressman Chris Lee of the 26th Congressional District.  Rus spoke with him on the phone at length yesterday, and says “This guy is one of us. He was asked to get out of the race last time by Reynolds and Lee, they told him he would be next. He is someone worth looking at.”  See it here.

Vetting Session
The ballgame seems to be changing a bit. For example, Iraqi War Veterans supported 14 Congressmen, and 10 of them won in just this past election.  Bellavia has their support, in which case, this race could have national coverage.  With enough support, a TEA Party candidate could effectively contend for the GOP endorsement.

We’re now having a discussion about quickly getting a vetting session together to choose a candidate for the Special Election and the 26th Congressional seat, which covers the counties of Erie, Monroe, Genesee, Livingston, Niagara, Orleans and Wyoming.  We need to send a strong message of who the TEA Party supports, and to express our disdain for the fact that this seat is being bought. We’ve begun coordinating with TP groups across the district.

Kathy Weppner, we all know and love. We will also invite Jane Corwin, Barry Weinstein, Jack Davis, Kathy Hochul, David Bellavia and any one else that is out there wanting to run a serious race.  We need to pack the house and invite the media.  It will be open to all, but voting will be restricted, as before, to members of TEANewYork and affiliated Tea Party and Patriot Groups.

Madison Protest
Am I missing something? Millions protest massive spending increases, bailouts, government controls and assaults on America’s Judeo-Christan heritage, and we don’t hear a peep from the MSM. Now, 1000’s, barely a blip on the radar screen, protest tiny cuts in their own pocketbooks to help get the state debt under control WHICH THEY HELPED CREATE, and the MSM is treating them like heroes? Beam me up, Jesus!    ~Jul

Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”  ~Isaiah 30:21 NIV

As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit–just as it has taught you, remain in him.  ~1 John 2:27 NIV
