UnSAFE Act Forum a Success
The UnSAFE Act Forum at the Shannon Pub was a resounding success.  It was standing room only, and though it wasn’t intended to be a fundraiser, we raised over $800 for TEA New York, $525 for the group FREE to bring Sheriff Richard Mack to town, and the gentleman who won $255 in the split club gave the entire amount back to SCOPE, who is dedicating it to the legal defense fund.  Sheriff Tim Howard, SCOPE President Steve Aldstadt and Iraq War Vet/WBEN Host/Burgeoning Comedian David Bellavia were very informative AND entertaining.  Thanks to all who attended and contributed to make it a success.  Photos here

NYS Idiocy
A new New York bill would make it a felony to annoy a police officer, by subjecting them to physical contact.  Touching a cop is already considered assault, it’s already a law.  What’s next?  Make it a felony to annoy a politician?

The New York State Senate already passed the bill that would make it a felony to “harass, annoy, threaten or alarm” a cop, and it’s on it’s way to the Assembly.

Congress and IRS Union employees want an Obamacare waiver.  Unbelievable.  Pretty soon, we’ll be the only ones not exempted.  Well, since abortifacient and sterilization mandates under Obamacare violate natural law, we simply don’t comply.  Government is not the grantor of our rights, God is.

Dream On
The Dream Act, which provides a free college education to illegals at taxpayer expense, has passed in the NYS Assembly, but hasn’t come up yet in the Senate.  That may change though, as Cuomo browbeats a few weak-kneed RINO’s, all too willing help their king violate our laws and make it impossible to live here.

The Federal bill, called the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act (S. 744) — commonly called the “Gang of Eight bill” after the eight Senators who came up with it, including our illustrious nincompoop NY Senator UpChuck Schumer — is a disaster in the making and will create a massive burden on US citizens.  Read it here.

Sheldon Silver is a Shame and an Embarrassment to NYS
Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver is under more fire to resign, over his covering Vito Lopez’s sex scandals.  We need 76 votes to oust him, but currently only two Democrats, including Buffalo’s own Mickey Kearns and Brooklyn Assemblywoman Inez Barron are calling for his resignation.  It should be a breeze getting the Repubs to stand together against the Perverted Menace Sheldon Silver, but we need 31 more Democrats.  Democrats of course have always been in the tank with the most corrupt member of the Assembly, their fearless leader.  But it would be well worth your time to put some pressure on.

Call our Democrat Assemblymen and ask them why they haven’t called for Shelly’s resignation.

If you are a Plaintiff in the NY SAFE ACT, you know by our Update and the media coverage that we had a powerful day in Court yesterday and are now waiting for both the Supreme Court and the Appellate Division – Third Department to weigh in on the case.

Now, we are turning our attention to the June 10 deadline for our Response on the Con-Con case.

Bob will be doing the research and writing the brief this weekend and it will go out to you early this week, by Tuesday or Wednesday latest. We need you to read it immediately and if you agree with his comments and wish to “piggyback” onto them, to fill out the verification form we will send, get it notarized, fax it and mail the original back in the mail to us without delay. This will be a tight deadline. We’ve literally had one Brief deadline after the other and really need your cooperation.

EVERY PLAINTIFF MUST TAKE AN ACTION. Please take this responsibility seriously.

It makes WE THE PEOPLE look bad if we don’t follow through — you know that Plaintiffs are usually paid attorneys arguing on behalf of their clients. So, you can either stand with Bob’s response or if you want to submit your own Memorandum of Law (legal arguments) or Affidavit (evidence) you may certainly do so, but you must follow Court procedures. If you do something on your own, it should present different information from the existing documents we have or are going to submit. We will file and Serve all documents at the same time – in person – on the 9th.

This is a very important lawsuit. Governor Cuomo and others who are Defendants in this case have said they want a People’s Constitutional Convention, so they really should be saying “no contest.” You can see that is not happening. We will make sure the media is well-briefed about this and with some help from you, this will be yet another example of government saying one thing and doing another. Any future constitutional convention in our state will discuss the abuse of the Message of Necessity for sure, so this is also a back-up to our stand on the NY SAFE ACT. In fact, a Victory in this case will lay the Foundation, more than anything else, to force government to return to the Constitutions. While we are dead against a federal con-con, the NY Constitution has been abused over the years and contains many elements which need to be cleaned out entirely or modified just slightly for full effect. You can see the work patriots did before us in 1997 on this effort (with Bob’s leadership) in the private Con-Con plaintiff area on the website.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email me. We have six Plaintiffs who do not use emails. If you live in a County where one of these folks is located, you may hear from me, asking you to please copy out the materials we send and drop them off in person. We just do not have time to mail them with this tight deadline. Appreciate your help very much!

The docket is up to date on the NY SAFE ACT on the website (finally) but not so, yet, on the Con-Con. I will be doing that this weekend. As a Plaintiff, you should have received all documents by mail or email from Defendants, so you should have all you need to review the case to date. I’ll let you know when the website docket is all in order.

This is what we are up against.  This guy making great points in the NJ senate hearings, on 2nd Amendment infringements.  He is told not to yell?  He isn’t yelling.  He is then ejected using who?  Looks like the State Police, the governor’s personal hit men.  None of this bodes well for State Police.  They have to start standing up for our RIGHTS!

Listen to this audio of Sheriff Howard on WBEN with Sandy Beach, paraphrasing lawless Albany legislators, who are telling us to “SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP” when it comes to the unconstitutional SAFE Act.   Our idiot Assemblyman Sean Ryan, who backs the UnSAFE Act, is suggesting Howard is opposed because of domestic violence provisions that were included.  WHAT, DOES HE THINK WE’RE STUPID?  Meanwhile, the Sheriff’s Democrat opponents in the November election are MUM on the matter, only concerned about getting the Democrat Party endorsement.  Shees.

Common Core is the name being given to new national education standards that not only will have a devastating impact on literary study and analytical thinking according to The Heritage Foundation, prominent policymakers and education experts say it will close the door on innovation and substantially increase the cost to provide a new substandard education to our nation’s children.  In addition, it intends to mine data from students to market products on their exams.  No joke.

Though federal law prohibits the US Dept. of Education from exercising control over state and local curricula, the 0bama regime circumvented these prohibitions by promising stimulus money to the states, provided they submit to as yet unwritten standards.  With dollar signs pulsing in their eyeballs, 45 states have now adopted Common Core, mostly without a vote by state legislatures, much less by consent of the governed.

Fundraiser success
After a hasty retreat to the basement of the Brounshidle Post due to the caterer’s need for a full kitchen, we pulled off Tea Time With TNY without a hitch, and a good time was had by all~!  It was a full house as David DiPietro and Chris Collins regaled us with horror stories and success stories alike in the State Assembly and US Congress, and Chaplain Ayesha Kreutz provided a wonderful perspective on cultural absurdities and our need to ENGAGE, in the face of continuing assaults on our constitutional protections, our rich Judeo-Christian heritage and our families.  A special thanks to Mike Madigan and Tori Poczkalaki for making it a success, and for everyone who donated a raffle basket and helped with setup and cleanup.

We raised over $1000 after everything was paid.  Going forward, our hope is to stop singing to the choir and start aggressively educating non “church” goers with invitations to Foundations of Liberty events and things like TV ads we found we can buy cheaper than radio.  Any time you can dedicate to developing a more fruitful fundraising campaign will be deeply appreciated.  Just reply to this email or attend one of our many events, and we’ll talk.

Free College for Illegals and Genocide
Again, the Dream Act and the Abortion Expansion Act are expected to come up for a vote soon.  Please continue to keep pressure on our NYS Senate reps.  Feel free to call the Assembly, but except for DiPietro, Marchione, Nojay and scant few others, the Assembly is as useless as tits on a bull.

2.  Call Skelos, Maziarz and Libous — the three RINO jokers that have given us the unSAFE Act, gay marriage in violation of Biblical and Ku’ranic principles,  and who are preparing to sack us with a mountain of financial responsibility for educating illegals and providing yet more genocide on demand.  Tell them ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
